October issue came into my email today.
Some key prices I'd like to list in the pricepedia as I was selling these as close as last week!
Just as a comparison, hopefully of interest to other people (prices in USD, except for my asking prices in AUD).
1984 1/20oz Gold Panda: $205 China ask price (I was asking for $145-150)
1985 1/20oz Gold Panda: $160 China ask price (I was asking for $145-150)
1986 1/20oz Gold Panda: $188 China ask price (I was asking for $145-150)
1987 1/20oz Gold Panda: $158 China ask price (I was asking for $145-150)

FB, do you know the mintage for the 1984 1/20oz and 1987 1/20oz gold bullion panda with S mint mark?
Fish Ball, I don't subscribe to Panda Pricepedia but can you check the going rate on a couple of limited edition boxed Pandas for me.

I've been pretty much buying the Gold fractionals from 1980s and early 90s which I think are underpriced.
Have stemmed my Gold buying for now, gonna pick up some Silver pandas first... like my 98 LD mwahaha
Oh and bought some more unicorns since I sold my last one to Peter at the meet haha... PM if you want some!

Fishball - I think you are on the right track picking up fractionals as well. I went the other way and got one of the big 3. While I may have paid top dollar I am pretty confident in a few years it will be worth a lot more than what I paid for it. 2000 Mirrored BTW.
Now I am targeting fractionals as well as the few 1oz Ag about. I am so far enjoying the new found thrill of the panda hunt.

Yeah, I'm invested fairly heavily into the BIG3 too (especially the popular 2000 Mirrors)... With the few surviving BIG3 Pandas getting eaten up by new and old Panda collectors, I'm sure these will be the key Panda dates (if they are not already).

Talking with a lot of older investors/collectors at Numismatic auctions etc... They always say to buy the key items first. Generally speaking these should never be worth less than what you paid for them. This was generally around the Australian Pre-Decimal range of currency. I guess this would apply to most if not all areas, in this case Pandas. You do then have the series and what most people will go into and what will be in demand, if you look at the new releases of 1oz Pandas and the mintage, it seems logical that some of these people will become more than just bullion buyers. In fact the will become collectors of the years.
