Wow, some very nice Pandas indeed! Could someone please tell me how to post pics, I've tried before but obviously I'm a DA when it comes to message boards...I want to post some of my Pandas and some of the jewelry I made at Silversmith school last week. Thanks in advance

I just got in the 1/2 oz 50 Yuan 1983 Gold Panda NGC MS69 so that completes this 5 coin set for the 1983 year
1 oz, .5 oz, .25 oz, .10 oz & .05 oz.

This 1983 Gold Panda set is a complete NGC MS69 set and this is the second year of mintage for the Gold Pandas.

I actually came out really well on this set as all coins (except the half) were purchased raw in their OMP from Apmex months ago which saved me the premium on purchasing NGC 69's. I then sent them for NCS conservation & NGC grading and got back MS 69's. I'm not very good at pictures with coins so the pictures do not look great but the coins actually look phenomenal in person.

It's rewarding to see such low mintages on these Chinese coins when compared to American Eagles & Canadian Maples with millions minted !!!

I just hate how coins that are trapped in horrible, dispicable, corrosive, oil residue plastic for 25 years still come out as PF69 Ultra cameo

Then again I only paid $1,708 for it raw and then $22.50 for NCS conservation then grading ...

*DISCLAIMER* I know this seller is way out out of line with this price but then again you never know when a whale may come along !

I have recently seen this identical coin sell anywhere from $2,800 to $3,500 and considering I'll be holding it for the next 20 years I think I'll probably get my money back on it.

It's for my phenomenal wife and infant son I call "Tinky" ... when he opens the boxes in 20 years he will hopefully be really happy

Congratz on the stunning wife and handsome son!!! He looks about the same age as my boy.

I'm sure your boy will have a very large and sound inheritance when it comes his time to take stewardship of it - especially if there are Pandas in there.

Even 2011 and 2010 Pandas will be valuable in 20years time, how much more so the rare Pandas!

I'm conflicted as to whether to show my wife this picture. On one hand I know she'd find Tinky as adorable as I do, on the other hand I KNOW I'd hear the "we're not really too old to have another baby" speech. Btw...we are! LOL

Yes you are correct yennus ... in 20 years when Tinky opens his bank safety boxes he should have a very sweet collection of silver/gold/platinum Chinese Pandas along with common bullion as well.

All my mom handed me when I got older was a box of my old army men, GI Joes and other childhood toys ... kinda sucks, wish I would have had a few pandas

I took a chance and showed your son to my wife, she of course found him as adorable as I and thought the nickname was the cutest she'd ever heard. I can't help but smile when I say it and plan on using it if my daughters will ever give us a grandson

I do collect rare pandas and invest in bullion because I enjoy it but I honestly can't wait for the day when I give it all to him !

It's refreshing to hear some people still believe in leaving their children a financial legacy.
In these days of reverse mortgages and the idea of doing nothing for children, as if helping them or leaving them an inheritance somehow guarantees a 'spoiled' child. I'm not wealthy, but I'd rather leave what i have when I die to my children than take a bunch of cruises in my hip-break years. Good onya Comeaux for maintaining the ancient tradition of familial wealth preservation.
