[opinion] 2012 Singapore coin show proof panda

I dropped by PandaAmerica yesterday to check out the new batch of silver medals. Here are photos of differences that I saw in the 5 oz. silver Singapore medals. The originals are on the left:

The reflective spot on the rock by the Great Wall has the appearance of rub, but it's only on the original medals. I believe it's a high spot that was missed in the frosting process. The medals are quite beautiful, I have to add.

Thanks for the info .. Too bad mine is already at the dealer shop to be send for conservation and grading so there is no way for me to compare ...
By the way , i was told that NGC might not grade this medal by the authorise dealer of NGC but they are sending in for me anyway . I will be sad that they will not grade this medal as i send in 3 of them .

The first order has arrived very nice design, they are beautiful.
I was also lucky enough to also be one of the first to request the vintage Panda America posters as well, totally cool and definitely will frame it and hand in my office !

More differences spotted:
Based on the date on the QC sticker found on the seal, one's dated 2.28 and the other 3.31.

So does that make the first 225 batch more or less valuable?

The COA number does not necessarily indicated whether its the first batch or second. I have 2 running number COA in low 200's but both are different, as seen in the pictures I posted above.

Collected on Wednesday morning at their office.

Did Peter not say he THINKS it is the first 225. So if you had two coins delivered both in low 200's, (each with different dies) then it could very well be correct that the COA number correlates to the production of the coin?
And if you have consecutive numbers - maybe you got the last of the old die and the first of the new die? That would be cool

The boxes, COAs and the medals were all shipped separately, as per my understanding from the staff at PA Singapore. When I collected my items, boxes, COAs and medals were handed to me as separate items. I rejected one of the box as there were some scratch marks. COA's were not from the boxes but from a separate stack. I was asked if I wanted the COA folded so it can fit into the box, to which I decline. As for coins, I can reject if any of them were not up to my satisfaction without having to change the box or COA.

that box with scratch marks must be the left over, one they could not sell, but the medal is ok
