Old gold coins wanted.

I’m looking to buy old (mostly) European gold coins.
I’m preferably after pre-1915 to avoid restrikes, but anything that was or could have been in circulation would be great.
If you have any that would want to sell, please PM and we can discuss prices.
I am after bullion prices, rather than higher-priced collectables.

By asking for bullion prices you are restricting the selling pool of those who would sell old gold coins for bullion prices, i think this explains why there are not many people selling. I for example have an extremely healthy old gold coin collection but i would be tempted at or near spot to sell a single piece as antique gold coins have scarcity and numismatic value over spot so would need to be a very low grade indeed to qualify for the most part, there has been a recent $200 dip in the POG in AUD so i think a person selling now may need to be under debt duress or similar.

All the best, old gold pieces do show up time to time close to spot but certainly they would be pounced upon in no time at all.

Maybe I exaggerated a little :)

I’ve made several big purchases from people here and a couple of small ones but I’m still looking for more.

When I say bullion prices, I don’t exactly mean spot prices but the price has to make sense to me. I’m not looking for grades coins.

I’ve bought from downies and nobles but their auctions are months apart. is there other good auction houses to buy from. I also tried ASA.
