Any potential for the Tassie Devil??? Just out today...

I think Perth Mint forgot all about that series and when they saw the thread on SS asking where the next coin is, they just put something together quickly and called it the next coin in the series ;)

LOL .......suddently it appear on the lists.

These coins were just released under a week ago, plus theres a bunch of coins getting released next week. In fact one silver 4 coin set that's getting released is limited to 3,000 sets and will DEFINITELY sell out within hours of its release. This video does a good job explaining what I'm talking about:

The Perth Mint's/ Tuvalu 2006 release of the 1 oz Silver proof Redback Spider in the Deadly & Dangerous Series has proven a real winner - you can't get one now for under $1000... :( (not to be confused with the Russian version)

Maybe the 2012 1 oz Funnel Web will follow a similar fate

The closest contendor is the tasmanian tiger (tuvalu). Seems to have found a floor at $300 but pushing higher. I could see it going north of $500 once the whole series is done.

I bought one last year for $50 AU, mind you that was a fluke but it can happen.

I'll take it off your hands for a smooth $100 :p

Here's a vid of my Funnel Web Spider:

I got pretty low mintage too, in the 200s. Hopefully that will help it get to $1,000 like the Red Black Spider.

I too am a fan of Modern Chinese Coins. Due to worldwide popularity and now the Chinese are allowed to buy, this opens up huge demand w/ low supply. As we all know. The sleeper may be the Mongolian togrog coins. Do not know how to post photos but have a 2000 5 oz gilt dragon PF 69 w/ 1,000 mintage. Mongolian coins won the coin of year award at least once and was a part of China. When MCC supply gets lower and premiums go up then the buyers many look for bargains elsewhere. Could it be Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or etc. coins? I think it will be the Mongolian togrog..........

They are beautiful coins. I posted some absolutely horrendous photos here

http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...a-gold-coin-inside-an-assay-card-is-real.html

Here is my description in that same thread

The photo and the coin are very similar. The two major differences are that there are not any clouds on the actual coins and the stock photo has more color variation than the coin.

There do not seem to be many of the 2011s around. I bought mine in March-April, 2011 from Gainesvillecoins and they are numbered less than 300 and I have only seen 5 or less of these coins sold worldwide since then. My understanding is that the NZ Mint has discontinued the design. Maybe they are replacing the sovereign with the gold double taku.
