I have the opportunity to buy an S1 1oz gold lunar snake for spot + $80-100USD. I was checking ebay for comparison purposes. Normally, if I am checking S1 gold 1oz lunars, I may see a couple for sale. Not this time. The links below are just the MS 70s listings. Maybe this means market capitulation or maybe the Chinese have counterfeited the coins and the holders. The other S1 gold lunars I checked had the normal 0-3 coins listed. Interested in others thoughts on this odd situation.

FAR OUT!! Those are a price and half .. :o

It may be that sellers have seen the asking price for these slabbed, and are just following suit to cash in on the craze ??
 
Just had a look at auctions finished since early October.

Looks like NGC slabbed 1 oz Gold Dragons went for good prices, so maybe these sellers of the snakes are using the same "NGC slabbed" formula to try and get a better price for their coins. :/

It means that you need to fork over the dough and buy some nice gold coins in wonderfully detailed, pristine slabls. :D

Now I understand why the coins are so expensive, it's the slabls. :lol:
