It's not as nice as the Southern Sky coins IMO but I'll certainly be getting one (and the rest of the series no doubt).
 
Mintage now at only 5,000 pieces, half the previous (first series - Southern Sky Crux) number.

it is the color thing. People usually like bright color coins. The Southern sky, dark blue, bright pink, and fresh green, all very attractive colors, yet not too bold. Now for the Northern sky, they are running out good choice of bright colors, so have to use lighter color in order to separate the two series :D
 
Very nice. I think it is a nicer design than the southern sky series. The trees and lines make it more intricate. Half the mintage is another bonus point.

Whilst a lot of attention has been paid to the Britannia 50 Pounds for 50 pounds coin, this northern sky cassiopeia coin is silently fast selling out. Within a week of being listed, it had become "temporarily unavailable" at the Royal Australian Mint. The demand in the northern hemisphere seems to be great, with most dealers having sold out. One to look out for.

Downies stock is going fast, 2 days ago, they had 62, today, only 28 left
 
Sold out at Perth Bullion in 2 days. Second batch at APMEX down from 193 to 30 in 2 days. Most European dealers also sold out. Already at a premium on ebay. I hope this coin will outperform the crux coin.
 
Downies is now sold out. I got the last one! Wish I saw this thread earlier would have bought a couple more but still glad I got one at issue price.

Apmex playing games with the inventory numbers, back near 200 today.

You should put your email on the mailing list of some Australia dealers, such as RAM, or Downies, then you will get a email for pre-sale
 
I just received my order of this coin today. Extremely satisfied. I can safely say it is the best designed coin for 2015. Even the packaging is of high quality.
