On Tuesday the next batch of silver dragons will be released.

Different coin styles and sizes will be available. The limited info I've been able to identify includes the following:

# 2012 Year of the Dragon 1kg Silver Gemstone Edition
# 2012 Year of the Dragon 1oz Silver Coin Gilded Edition
# 2012 Year of the Dragon Silver Proof Coloured Coins
# 2012 Year of the Dragon 1oz Silver Typeset Collection

Which style and size of coin do you think will have the highest secondary market value (premium) once released and why?

BG

I vote typeset.

The 1kg gemstone edition is appealing (does anyone know what gemstone it will be?) but for the same price you could get a 1kg bullion coin + a couple of 10 ouncers!

For the millenium dragon in year 2000, it was 2 x 0.02 carat golden diamonds. I won't be surprised if they decide to go with diamonds again! Is the pricing and mintage out?

out of curiosity, what is the mintage for the gilded 1oz's?
50,000, but let to believe only some will be in display box (with COA).

Hmm... why aren't all the gilded 1oz's issued in a display box with COA? Unless of course they have 2 different prices??

Hi, this is my first post here. Curious me this message from PM:

# 2012 Year of the Dragon Silver Proof Coloured Coins

Is that mean a few different colors ? E.g. red, green, blue and yellow dragon and mintage 2500 each color ?
So, I understand this Dragon will be in proof quality instead of specimen, as in the previous coloured lunar coins ?

Is this a question we may be able to put forward to Ron Currie on here through his thread? Or not really worth the attemp (probably not?) and wait N see i guess...
