Do you think "China" will have their own enlightenment or do you think their killing is more endemic in their system of power? Saving face is another huge issue, you said it yourself they have killed more than most.

t doesn't matter does it?
Its a lesson they will have to learn and live it.
Besides only "almost" successy genocide occured in Tasmania. What did we learn to sweep it under the carpet.

.

One day they will, it’s part of the evolution of political power. The Chinese have a cultural problem they need to overcome and pressure from the West is needed to hasten that change. We can’t accept what they do, even if it means not doing business with murderers.

^ @alor would be proud be proud of that video. Not sure why you're giving Chinese propaganda a platform, maybe you're trying to make it obvious.

From Wikipedia:

Being one of the oldest existing labour unions in Hong Kong, the HKFTU has long been seen as a satellite organisation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC), operating in Hong Kong. It took a leading role in the 1967 riots against the British rule and was suppressed by the colonial government. In the 1980s, the HKFTU took the vanguard role in opposing faster democratisation with the conservative business elites during the run up to the Chinese resumption of Hong Kong sovereignty in 1997.

The HKFTU trade unionists helped founding the founding members of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong (DAB) in 1992, which has become the flagship pro-Beijing party today.

CHINA: ACTIVIST DETAINED FOR REPORTING TORTURE: LI QIAOCHU
Prominent human rights defender Li Qiaochu was taken away by police on 6 February 2021, shortly before the Lunar New Year. According to a detention notice her parents were asked to sign, she might be facing charges related to subversion. Li’s detention is suspected to be related to her efforts to publicize the torture and ill-treatment at Linshu County Detention Centre.

Hong Kong: Prosecution of opposition figures an unprecedented attack on human rights
“None of them have committed a recognized crime, but they have fallen victim to a national security law that deems people a ‘threat’ simply for the peaceful expression of political views and for taking part in the conduct of public affairs.

CHINA: FURTHER DETAILS: CHARGED WITH SUBVERSION, TORTURE DETAILS REVEALED: DING JIAXI
Former human rights lawyer Ding Jiaxi, who has been detained since 26 December 2019, has for the first time been allowed to meet with his lawyer through two video calls. During these conversations, Ding revealed details about the torture that he was subject to when he was detained under “residential surveillance under designated location” and the harsh condition of the current detention centre. Originally detained for “inciting subversion of state power”, the People Procuratorate of Linyi Shi informed Ding’s lawyer on 20 January that he is now charged with “subversion of state power”. Given Ding’s treatment over the last year, there are grave concerns that he could be at risk of further torture and other ill-treatment.

CHINA: KAZAKH FAMILY AT RISK OF TORTURE IN DETENTION: WEILINA MUHATAI, MUHEYATI HALIYOULA, PARISATI HALIYOULA
In March 2017, the Xinjiang government enacted the “De-extremification Regulation” that identifies and prohibits a wide range of behaviours labelled “extremist”, such as “spreading extremist thought”, denigrating or refusing to watch public radio and TV programmes, wearing burkas, having an “abnormal” beard, resisting national policies, and publishing, downloading, storing, or reading articles, publications, or audio-visual materials containing “extremist content”. The regulation also set up a “responsibility system” for government cadres for “anti- extremism” work and established annual reviews of their performance.

It is estimated that up to a million Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other predominantly Muslim people have been held in the “transformation-through-education” centres. The Chinese authorities had denied the existence of such facilities until October 2018, when they began describing them as voluntary, free “vocational training” centres. They claim that the objective of this vocational training is to provide people with technical and vocational education to enable them to find jobs and become “useful” citizens. China’s explanation, however, contradicts reports of beatings, food deprivation and solitary confinement that have been collected from former detainees. China has rejected calls from the international community, including Amnesty, to allow independent experts unrestricted access to Xinjiang. Instead, China has made efforts to silence criticism by inviting delegations from different countries to visit Xinjiang for carefully orchestrated and closely monitored tours.

There's another 1956 news stories on the Amnesty website about the atrocities being committed by our major trading partner.

So an Iranian State propaganda organisation publishes a story about some alleged connections between Amnesty International and the British/US intelligence agencies that was supposed to have happened half a century ago?

Cool. I’ll post you some more tinfoil when you run short. I only need it for cooking.

In the meantime the CPC continues to murder its citizens.
