I'm more of a gold fan really, but last week when I joined this forum, the various interesting posts here inspired me to invest a bit in silver again.
Here's my newest buy:

2x 1 oz Austria Philharmonic

It was a costly deal though, because I had to pay quite a bit extra for getting them shipped (around US$15). Buying them directly from the store would definitely have been cheaper.

I would not call that as an investment if the fixed costs of your "investment" were of the same magnitude as the two silver coins itself. Why didn't you buy a whole roll or few to average the shipping cost?

As a side note - Prepare for having a lot of milk spots with these. Within one year all of your Philharmonics will be covered in white snow

Yea I would have bought a whole roll, or a gold coin instead, but I currently don't have the funds for it.
As for the tarnishing, I've already owned 1 Philharmonics coin for over a year and it's still in fine pristine condition, without me ever having to clean it.

Never had any any major milk spots issues on Phils. Is their a particular year you are referring to? Sounds odd.
