Newbie in need of selling advice.

Hi,

I need some advice on how to go about selling coins.
My father collected royal australian and perth mint coins during the 90's and a little into the early 00's.
He acumulated, i think, just over 250 peices, with a mix of silver and gold. All items were purchased as one off's for the intention of collecting a range and not stacking(if i mentioned stacking im sure he would look at me confused). He has now retired, and despite buying coins, still does not understand the reason for investing. now that he needs the money I have been tasked with selling his collection.

My perdicament starts here. I have no idea what they are worth or how to best go about selling them. I know I can post on this site but as I have frequented these forums over the past 12 months to learn all I can Ive become even more confused.

I would love to hear people suggestions as to how I could potentially get quick sales without forfeiting too much of the value.

Not sure if it matters but I'm in Melbourne Aus.
 
Sorry if this is hard to read, I have copied the list from a spreadsheet that I made a few years ago. I do have photos of everything on this list, so I can easily provide if there is anything you wish to see.
So again, I’m just not sure how to go about selling this collection without getting duped.
Also another thing that i’m not sure of, would any of these be worth more than their weight due to what they are?

Other than the list below, I also possess 4x St George Gold Sovereigns and a gold nugget, cannot recall if it is 22 or 23 grams.
And, 150 1ounce silver coins which are stamped with, 92.5% silver

Big Haul. Best way would be to sell them piece by piece on the forums, they will sell straight away. 95% would go for between spot and spot +2%. bullion now in Melbourne will give you spot for the lot if you want to sell in bulk.
 
Go to your local library and take a look if they have a copy of a recent Renniks book (like this: https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/renniks-coin-book-29th-edition - you may find cheaper copies if you want to buy one as a new edition is coming out in June). Prices in that book are somewhat optimistic, but at least you'll quickly find out which ones are worth considerably more than spot.
With proof coins condition is very important - they must be pristine in order to fetch the premium value.

List the nugget with a photo, large ones are sought after.
St George Gold Sovs will be condition dependent
.925 coins are not as sought after as the .999+ bullion coins but they will sell for sure.
