Not the easiest coin to get hold of here in the UK. I only heard about the Stock Horse through this forum with one of my regular visits to read the postings. Generally speaking buying Australian Silver coins is an expensive exercise by the time you add 20% vat (GST) plus postage plus extra fees charged by the courier company used by the Perth Mint. Currently only one vendor is selling the Stock Horse here, for $95.00. Another Australian vendor is selling the card version for $199.00.

I did manage to get hold of a couple of Stock Horse coins from Germany so will have to be happy with that.

Roger

Haha I'll gladly sell you some at $95! Man that's awesome...I can currently only get away with around $70 here...

LOL, maybe you should try them on Ebay Germany, 8hrs and over 2days to go and both have passed $80 Canadian. (The Germans are very keen coin collectors and love Australian silver coins)

looks like we ripped German buyers off this coin LOL

he,he...... some how I am sure the Germans will have the last laugh...............most are in for the long haul and one will not see those coins resurface for a long time especially since it is part of an annual series.

I actually did list one on German ebay....

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/151086067065?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Doesn't look like I'll end up happy with the results though...currently stuck at 15 euro with item ending in a couple hours...but...shipping alone is 40 euro so its probably scaring everyone away! (costs $47 to ship trackable from Canada to over seas)

yeah....probably. I dont understand, i can do it here from syd for like <20 euros, i think you need to find a better way of sending coins.

That reminds me, any way to know where order 107 would be? :D

Well...I can ship without tracking for as low as $10 (depends on weight, but this is for <0.25kg)...and it'll even arrive faster...but I've been scammed before on ebay, so I give the buyers a choice to pay me non-paypal and have it shipped without tracking.

As for your tracking...you should've received an email from my site on thursday/friday with a tracking number that can be used on Canadapost.ca

Wow that's cheaper than cost price. Wonder if that will be the same if you opened the auction to the rest of the world. Could be a sign of things for the coin?

Or perhaps potential buyers are put off by your rating that isn't 100%. I personally wouldn't purchase from a seller that doesn't have a 100% rating on eBay.

I am a powerseller on ebay and have an established business in Toronto and it's the shipping rates that scares people away. Unforunetly Canada Post Rates are extremely high when it comes to trackable packages. I mailed 10 horses from Canada to Germany with insurance and tracking and it cost me $70. I actually took a screenshot to show the buyer that these are the actual costs for shipping in Canada.

40 for one coin for shipping. That's insane. I would pay this only for full insured shipping for premium coin (e.g. Tiffany art, etc., some rare coins). The shipping rate alone would attract our customs.

Shipping quote I got from US can be crazy too. Dunno why there are such a big differences between some sellers. From 8$ to 150$ for 1oz coin.

I prefer getting things from Germany. Fast, reliable and fully insured for 20. DHL tracking site is top notch and most of the others couriers could learn from them. :)

Just to clarify, customs wont be able to see the shipping rates....

I've meant the shipping costs. They are written on each package ("shipping label" put on package by the post office).

I print out my own labels and when you print your own the postage rate is not written on it. Only if you take it to the post office and ask them to print the postage label the price is written on it.

Here is an example I grabbed off Google image search:

Not too happy with how it ended...

$70 net approx - ebay fees - paypal fees....won't be listing in germany again!

Now I gotta decide whether to send it via the $50 shipping method or just take the chance and send it non trackable...this is painful...

Thanks! I don't know if that is possible in our country. Maybe if I have a company and then it would be written "postage paid by contract XXXX".

I rarely (if ever) get package without shipping cost written on it. I think it's also more fair to the buyer since some sellers are charging buyers more (not actual price). In that case I won't give seller 5 stars on feeBay if difference between paid costs and actual is too big.

You would harldy able to compete with German sellers due to shipping rates and also because of customs. Our country has flat rate shipping worldwide and can ship this at least 4 times cheaper than you (not fully insured).
Not to mention the German shipping rates inside Germany. If I get stuff with DHL in around 3 days, Germans can probably get them in 2.

You can thank this crazy thread for the price of this coin 2x in a few weeks. Dont pay the high premiums to the dealers our of fear be rational in your investing / collection. The speculation on this coin is just stupid.

Did the case eventuate wsd?

Ah forgot to post on that. They had a final verdict that they could not have me commission a case specific to the horse, all rights to that were with the German Distributor.

Best bet was a regular clamshell but, pricing wise I don't think its worth it.

Most if not all of you guys who ordered this from me should have received this by now. Was just hoping you can do a +1 on the trades and leave some feedback :).
