New Perth Mint Stock Horse Coin

barsenault, I am sure the Perth Mint doesn't care what the spot price of silver actually is, they just price in regards to the spot price, they make the same profit if spot is 15 that they would at 30 as they all use Forward contracts or Futures to hedge fluctuations in the market.

The Perth Mint sells silver and blanks to other mints and they probably sold a lot of Forward contracts when the price was high to guarantee them sales at those high prices even though today's prices are low.

They are also a refiner, so a drop in spot price is also beneficial as they can buy silver cheaply.

The Perth Mint only really care about demand, as long as the demand is there they will always make money as they make their profit between the cost at which they sell at and the cost at which they buy or mine silver. Granted that the mining costs stay the same, and at the higher spot price their margins on this is higher, but as they use Forward contracts to even out their prices its all pretty much the same.

I assume they will be selling the Lunar Horses at a similar premium to what the Snakes were when they were released. But I guess we will just have to wait and see.

and about wsd_collector, no one bought at $45 per coin?

Don't get me started on wsd. LOL. AND I totally agree with you about the lunar horses. I look at price of spot and laugh it off. My kooks, lunar, pandas, and Brittanias are sitting just fine in my corner. I don't worry about spot any longer. Granted, I won't make as much as the guy who bought 50 eagles to my 30 kooks, but I don't have to worry about the wild price swings. I'm not tempted anymore to buy snakes, as the horses are right around the corner...but I am tempted to buy a roll of kooks on Apmex...man, those prices are at steal prices. I'm debating. LOL. If we get to 17 on spot, I will, as they will come down a bit. :-)

Nah, he's a pump tart idiot. Hope he doesn't make his presence known on these boards any longer. I'll call him out for what he is. I spoke to a dealer who bought direct from the wholesaler, and this guy told me at 45.00 he'd be losing money. I mean, he's in business to make money, not lose it. I think karma will come back in bite him in the arse. Maybe there is a little saving grace if he apologizes for the pump of $45.00. I knew he was lying through his teeth, and called him to the carpet even as he was pumping 45.00!! His response, 'well, you know, I'm just wanting other buyers to benefit. If I can make a little, and buy 2 coins from the proceeds, I'll be happy.' What horse sh*t. LMAO.
don't rush to call anyone idiot
the average I payed for horses is below $45/ea ... I bought from my friend who bought from dealer (though I don't know if it is 1st dealer)
So, the dealer you talked to was BSing you for sure.

anyway, if everything you said is true the guy is not idiot, he is just a liar .... and I'd be the first to put my name under petition to block this kind of users in SS forum (if possible)

he made couple of dollars - good for him
he wants to do more by selling here - I don't want to see such players in this playground.

All sold out unfortunately :(

EMK Munzen & Edelmetalle

1+ - 33.00 euro
20+ - 32.00
100+ - 31.00
300+ - 29.50

These were the prices

These were the wholesale price. So 29.50 Euro works out about 40 USD. So depending on shipping costs he could well be selling for $45, or at least intended to sell them for that price.

barsenault I will shoot you a PM about kooks, wondering if there are cheaper in the US.

I searched high and low, and I couldn't find cheaper...and most certainly couldn't find most years in quantity. Look at the 1995's on this link. $31 and change! That IMHO is a steal with only 154,247 minted or heck, even the 2003 (a beautiful coin up close) going for 35 and change with a mint of 109,439...dude, you ain't finding cheaper sorry. LOL. Well maybe, but have fun looking...and you may get 1, but when I buy 20
Price drops to 34 and change...apmex has the best prices on these kooks. IMHO. Recently I saw the 1996's going for 32.00...someone sucked those up...price was moved to 40 and change...I got me a 120 of those bad boys! :-)

29,50 is actually closer to 45 USD than 40 USD. ;) Depends on the bank.

If you are looking at PayPal rates thet it would be more like 37. :P :)

You see item on feeBay, you won, you happy, you see PayPal rate, you say wtf?!?! :)

Yea PayPal exchange rate is terrible! I have a credit card that gives me an exchange rate the same as MasterCard, and no fees. So it's pretty good for offshore purchases.

I will report back what he comes back to me tomorrow. I wanna see if he is going to charge me $45 USD since i chose the USD option or if it will be $46 each.

Will see later....

I thought it was 55.00 with a 5.00 discount? Are you saying 45 for a roll of 20? If so, he should have made that clear.

The 45 USD price was only if you sent the payment to him as a gift so he didn't get the fees. I don't know how this would have worked, as I presume it would be impossible to send the payment like this if ordering straight from his site.

Got an e-mail yesterday saying my little pony has been dispatched. The strange thing is the place where I have got mine from now says they are available from the 28th June and the prices has gone up by 2. I reckon they are waiting for more too arrive?

Best deal I've found on kooks, but I gotta say those 2oz snakes on apmex are looking like a steal..

Humm, if I was in the US I would order some of those kooks. I am trying to get 4 for a good price. But seems like I can only get them for the price I want if I ordered 20. From a German seller.

Yes, the 2013's you can find cheaper...but most years below 2012- 1990, you ain't finding cheaper. No way. Again, may be 1 or 2 in stock...but to buy a 100 (i.e 1995's) at 31+...not happening. APMEX has the best deals going on the kooks, IMHO.

Thought you were looking specifically for better prices on the 2013s lol..thought maybe you didnt know about provident...oh well I tried to help :P

Either way, I still think those 2oz snakes look like a steal. Can't decide on 20x1oz kooks or 10x2oz snakes right now. Snakes are about $2/oz cheaper. Hmm.

But I think they mint to demand on the 2oz snakes, but have a limit on the 1 oz of 300,000k. And absolutely thanks for the info no the 2013's. I'm not crazy about them...but will take them over every other bullion coin.

Regarding WSDcoins I did purchase two 20 count rolls from him last night. I got the $46 pricing per coin. I purchased thru his website and then he promptly reimbursed my net cost with the roll discount and coupon. I am not affiliated with this guy at all and in fact I purchased with my AMEX thru PP so he charged the extra 5% as he said he would so my per coin cost did go up. I've never done business with this guy so wasn't willing to risk the F&F paypal payment. As long as my coins show up in a timely manner I'll be happy with the transaction.

wsd_collector. To make a long story short and the truth of the matter is that despite your hype and blah, blah, blah ... nobody got this coin from you at US$45 !!! It was just a wild goose chase.

There were many members that got the $46 CAD price. (Over 120/300 sold at this price)

Just to clear up this whole mess. When did I refuse to honour my prices?

I specifically wrote this various times that pricing is as followed:

$50 CAD for singles
$48.50 CAD for packs of 5
$46 CAD for Rolls of 20

I mentioned USD prices for reference purposes. I.e. if you're paying by a USD denominated credit card, the approx. you'd get charged by your visa/mc.

I posted coupon codes at 6pm last night on this forum. My website wasn't taking coupons, so I asked anyone who wanted to order to put the coupon code in the comments section of the order, and I would be manually adjusting the orders, which I have done for everyone who ordered up till midnight (I still have all orders after midnight outstanding and will be doing tonight).

I specifically mentioned, if you would like to pay by Paypal, there is a 5% surcharge. I get charged the fee, so as a result, I pass on the fee. In addition, I did not charge this 5% surcharge to those buying less than 5.

The majority of people who sent me a Friends and Family payment via Paypal are from US and Canada, and they got the pricing of $46CAD per coin + shipping if ordering rolls of 20.

If anyone has any complaint, I'd like you to come up and tell me exactly what I refused to do in terms of honouring what I said.

Thanks.
