New Panda Medal Coming: Panda - Goat/Lunar

Plan Mintage is likely to be 499 due to the popularity of the silver panda goat among collectors. We discuss with Mints to up the plan mintage from 299 to 499 for the monkey panda silver proof.

First batch will mints 400 pieces which mints will keep 100 pieces for collection and retails. Likely 5 dealers appointed to carry the balance of 300 pieces of the Monkey panda medal. It will be available at ebay, their webpages and physical stores.

The release price will between USD 180 - 188 in webpage and higher in ebay due to ebay fee and so on.

As at now, mints and dealers has sold around 230 pieces. Another 170 left before launching.

Barsenault and me decide to invite SS member to pre-order the medal at USD182 or SGD 255 including shipping. (we do not ship certain countries). Max order per customer is 1 piece due to low stock level. Payment by paypal gift/family. Will invoice end August 15 and payment in full. Only less than 10 pieces will offer for pre-order here at this moment. You need to buy from the webpage and other dealers after this offer end.

If other appointed dealers would like to join in this offer which preorder qty will increase. I will checking with them.

The Monkey panda carving photo will likely out 3rd weeks of September. China mints except shanghai mints is a bit slow as no marketing campaign like other western mints.

The Gold panda goat first batch will ready end of September as informed. Hope no delay.

Please expect I delay in replying in mid till end September 2015.

One of the early buyer of the panda gold goat does not pay. We give him a timeline of paying up. We will release it to market if he is not paying. 1 pcs left for pre-order and might be another pcs if the customer not pay up by given the timeline.

I have 2 gold panda goat which likely grade both or grade 1 and keep 1 omp for collection or sell after real medal out.

Panda goat silver antique has 2 varieties. Type 1 which has around 8x plus and type II around 1x Plus.

Type 1 is at right side of the photo which look more flat in contrast and with scar at panda head. Type II is at left which is better in contrast of tone.

Type II are rework medal by the mint after knowing it has scar at panda head. It sent back to mint to rework on the antique process.

Check you items which you might find a rare one. Bob has 3 of it without pouch because it send back to mint to rework.

Me for sure would loooove to have one of the reworked ones. I think its a huge improvement and more in line with later years, but unfortunately not in my pile..

I have 2 left only. If memory serve me right I sold 2 pieces.
