Regarding to the charts on the Total Credit Market Debt in Chapter 6, it can be downloaded from the Federal Reserve website. (Flow of Funds - L.1).

You can double click on iPad to enlarge it if you want to examine the data.

Please note that Total Credit Market Debt Owed is now known as All Sectors; Debt Securities and Loans; Liability, Level.

And China's total credit is from the CEIC website. This is one important indicator to track the credit bubble in China.

I started reading it, but sorry, I just gave up in short order. The whole way it's written as Grandad telling a story to a 12yo just didn't work for me, as well as the whole prawn analogy.
Kudos for writing a book, but sadly it was not for me.
 
I Strongly recommended this book. I love his style of writing as I finished the whole book in 2 weeks. It is an AMAZING read. I love how the author start off with easy concepts on debts. I particularly loved the detail research on the Australia real estate bubble, the Chinese economy, EU economy and the subject of derivatives in the latter parts. While I might not agree with his solution on using QE to restore global economic balance, finally, I have an unbiased view about the Australia real estate bubble. I think this is the only book that put the puzzles together.
 
Mike, I am glad you like it Yes. It is intended to be unbiased. ;)

I hope the story at the beginning can make it interesting for younger generation to read it. I started off that way a decade ago.
