Hmm.. the howling wolf looks so much better.

Take the Stock Horse coin, do a mirror flip, and walla! It fits nicely in the cutout

Not as good as the wolf, but nice still.

No where as nice as the crying wolf, what made that coin was the sliced out edge around the coin and a very subtle but distinct wolf tied into that. I thought the sliced out edge would continue. This horse is just out a cutout in the coin - big deal. Really disappointed.

We've just received word from our friends at Coin Invest Trust that an issue has been discovered during the quality control process for the MONGOLIA 2014 500 TOGROG MONGOLIAN NATURE - HORSE 1/2oz SILVER BU coins. As a result of this issue they have decided to recall all stock and re-strike the coins.

Their message to us contains the following:

We have decided to reproduce the full mintage of 2'500 pcs. and to exchange every single coin. As this is a very complicated technical process and extremely time-consuming the reproduction may take approx. 8 to 10 weeks.

All orders placed through Downies for the coin will naturally be honoured when the replacements arrive.

Reply from Singapore Mint... "... flaw... the coin has uneven plating surrounding the cut-out areas".

It is a very costly mistake but I am glad CIT took action to rectify this issue :lol:
