Milk Spots on silver - best/safest way to deal with

What % of Maples with milk spots get slabbed for collectors? Isnt there enough around without milk spots to be slabbed in the future? this is a noobi question not a snarky remark.

OP already confirmed via post #9 that these aren't Maples.

Not sure of the answer to your question. I don't really do much Canadian stuff.

As somebody already mentioned, milk-spots can & do develop pretty much anytime.. months or even years down the road. And that includes *after* the coin's been slabbed.

I don't believe anything out there is immune from milk-spotting. Though you might have better odds with certain mints at certain times. For a while, anyway.

Intersting comment.

Time for a poll.

I have some Perth Mint coins that are more than 20 year old; none have milk spots.

Slight toning on some coins, but no milk spots.

I have old Perth Mint kooks over 20 years old, no milk spots.

I took a Maple put of the tube and it had milk spots within 48 hours.

I have some 2014 ASEs and the top coin in the tube is already showing discoloration.
