Good evening Crew,

Something quite serious seems to have occurred.

I noticed an inexplicable spike in the radiation-monitoring reports this morning, and when I cross-checked our location I was astounded to discover that we shifted our position by roughly three thousand nautical miles in the space of a few milliseconds around midnight last night! Now, I know we're fast, but we have never gone much beyond mach 0.8 under a full canvas with a strong tail wind.

Ummm... did anybody accidentally spill any of the R.U.M. fluids on deck last night? I'm sure I warned everyone that you must use only a drop or something unexpected may happen.

Well, it seems that something quite singular has indeed now occurred. I've run all the calculations, and checked the spot price and the desk calendar and everything makes sense... Our localized time-space continuum has been Fourier-ttransformed through a rare Higgs boson event effectively turning our ship into a smallish hadron collider capable of generating massless scalar particles with uneven gyrational radii and non-integer spin numbers. The end result of this is that the entire ship was last night parametrically delocalized by an enormous photon-particle gravity wave resulting in a serious regression in our customary temporal-spatial orientation.

In other words, we've gone and blown ourselves though a time warp - right back into the middle of last month.

No wonder the spot price looked so strangely familiar this morning.

We must move with the utmost caution now crew or we risk meeting up with our future selves which would make us all history.

We somehow need to reverse the process and reorient our spatial-temporal coordinates - otherwise the spot price could easily become an imaginary number.
