Midnight to 6am - Overnight Spot Watchers Spot...

I have just rubbed my crystal ball, and it is telling me $6600 gold comes this weekend, and $7000+ per ounce comes October 31st.

This is going to be the best Halloween ever.

All good things have consequences, and mine is that I am out of champagne.

Driving into town tomorrow to get another case from Mr Murphy.

Cheers everyone.

Grab a case of Red Rum, lasts slightly longer. Actually this really could be best Halloween ever, we shall see. Just in case make that two cases of rum in case a friend drops by

And of course any good pirate also needs lime, ana kokanut

Captain Blacksheep, I gave up drinking beer, wine and spirits about one year ago, went teetotaler.

I gave myself permission to indulge in a bottle of champagne on special occasions, such as precious metal price milestones.

I didn't envisage that the precious metals price milestones would be coming so fast and furious.

At this rate, I will be a champagne alcoholic and in the poor house by the time we reach $20k gold!:D

Good luck Mister Hardcase, the struggle is real. In truth I rarely drink, although have a case of beer chilled for emergency use. I've given more away to friends and neighbours having a bad day than I've had, but handy in a harsh environment. Over winter I do notice half of my bottle of whiskey had somehow made it into my winter morning coffee's oops :D I do actually enjoy a rum on occasion (nectar of my youth) and plan to purchase a nice bottle when next in town. :p

<---- Edit: Wondering to self why he thinks I'm kaptun? We has been a ghost ship for many a year now adrift in the doldrums without a kaptun, our mighty vessel knows the way (or wherever the current and wind is going, it's all gud with rum)

We tried adding the lime 'n' coconuts... but then too many of tha pirat' crw wanted to drink from tha cannonz.

So.. yep...
Last batcha rum may have been a bit punchy with a sprinkl'y of the old black-powder if ya know what I mean...

What's that people always say?
Silver won't ever go up?

Well now we know not only are they stupid but they are also wrong.

BlackSheep, old mate, life is full of wonder and surprises for me of late.

I went into town today as planned, sold some gold and still had some fiat money left over from the shopping spree.

So stopped at my bank to deposit it.

A couple of good-looking branch chicks were out front doing a sausage sizzle for bank customers only, so I was able to get a free feed as well!

It was almost worth the hour drive into town just for that experience. It has never happened to me at a bank before, and probably never will again.

Another surprise and wonder recently was when I was stopped on the side of a road changing a flat tyre, and a copper stopped his patrol car and came over
to offer me a hand.

Both were once-in-a-lifetime experiences for me, not to mention yesterday's two-hundred-dollar pop in the price of gold.

Propa feel-good story right there. Gotta love the universe smiling on a fellow pirate. Arrr.

Tis a beautiful thing Mr Hardcase. I am profoundly grateful for the many small things in my day that make me smile, the Bottle trees as they change throughout the season, the stupid Pottaroo that sits at the back door like a puppy trying to trip me, and yes, the price of Gold has been a cause to smile for those fortunate to have a little :)
