We' on chart'a course via space berg:

Im callin $80+ by Novemba: and if alienz pop out - im gettn' everythin' in the hold checked for purity!... n'cluding the rum!

In my previous posts, I was alluding to the fact that from time to time, I like to sell some boring duplicate stuff from my stack and use the proceeds to purchase other
more appealing items as a form of stress relief.

I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine, unlike all you miners on Central Queensland Gem Fields, where the men are men and the ladies are men in drag also;)

Anyway, let's stop talking about that sort of stuff and talk mining.

How deep do you have to dig to reach the stone bearing wash?

I haven't sunk a shaft in years [ the ones you dig in the ground that is]
I do all my prospecting with a detector, so it is rare for me to dig holes deeper than two feet these days.

In my earlier prospecting days, when I found a rich patch of near-surface gold with the detector, I would grab the pick, shovel and crowbar and sink a shaft to the bedrock, thinking that if there was all this gold near the surface, then there must be even more on the bedrock, as gold is so heavy and sinks down.

Well, this theory didn't quite play out according to plan, ended up digging heaps of shafts, and every one of them was a duffer!
The deepest shaft was nearly 10 feet deep, did not find any detectable gold in any of them, just a bit of fine colour when I panned the dirt from the bottom

It's a funny game, this prospecting occupation; lots of things don't make sense from a physics and geological point of view.

The best advice I was ever given is that "Gold Is Where You Find It".

Stay cool in that 40-degree heat, old mate. We have a 30-degree day coming up down here, first in 6 months.

My gold nugget detecting tally has taken a big hit in the past week since I joined here.

Think I'd better shut up and follow BlackSheep's example, of getting back to digging instead of gasbaging ;)

Its a tru' shame that yur batchela status in pimp land 'as not changed ova all de'ze yearz.

'as been a long time since our comm'n enemy (super drunk) had turned some of uz into creature forms (poor blacksheep), but i do hope your able to defeat the wizard, and get the girl u is after. (And inso doing return all the rum to the ships bar)
