Metaldesk / Bullion Capital

I see a new banner advertisement for Metaldesk - by Bullion Capital Limited which "offers a physical bullion market, with an online trading platform for precious metal traders and investors.". Based in Brisbane.

Anyone know about them? Anyone tried the trading platform? :/

Tried their demo the other day. Looked interesting, seems like some of the big boys may play there. Lots of Au kilos being traded, but plenty of smaller sizes too. Then got a call today asking if I would like to start a trading account. Not sure if I should consider this a telemarketing annoyance or high quality personal service. I too would be interested to hear the experience of anyone who has used them.

After some emailing re fee structure, they responded that they have a transaction fee of 1% of value, and collection fee (for vault pickup) of a further 1%. That puts them above the premium charged by most dealers for the larger sizes of gold bar even before accounting for spread. Maybe they would still be competitive for silver, or smaller bars if prices are far closer to spot than at dealers, but I have largely lost interest on the basis of this.

Affiliated with the ABX.

ABX and Bullion Capital have the same corporate address, same directors and seem to have been established at the same time in 2011. Read into that what you like :-)

Personally I am not having a good experience with them thus far, I have clicked on the Create Demo account 3x in the last three weeks, and no response by email so no idea how to activate this Demo.
I signed up for an account through my SMSF manager who is also a broker, and the signup says someone will call me to finalise the account, yet nobody has done so for 5 days now.
I rang them and the guy who answers the phone says he will get someone to call me back straight away as I called just before there office hours started, and nobody has called.

There is very little discussions/comments/reviews online about them.

So far, seems a bit amateurish to me.
