just flicking through ebay looking for some bargins lol and came across 25x 1oz maples 2010 selling for $900 wow thats amazing price item 320631684962 it wasnt long ago i bought a tube of 25 for $645
almost tempted to put mine on what do you think

It's a gamble.

These prices are due to a shortage of physical out there to buy (for maples) at present. Drutter has been talking about supply in and around Vancouver dried up, so I am not surprised to see some enterprising individuals cashing in.

I can see regular supply of maples being back early in 2011 so if you can get a 50% increase on your sale price, I'd say go for it - you can easily convert your profit into localised silver at a profit.

Maples are not numismatics (well most are not), so if people are willing to pay a premium, then why say no?

Something odd must be going on. Because they are the main source I follow that still has any, I track my Canadian Timber Wolf coins at Apmex. They were selling about 20 of the 25 coin Wolfpacks each day. Suddenly, they acquired about 100 packs and now the selling has declined tremendously. They now have more Wolfpacks than Maple Leafs.

Well actually the 1997 Maple is rarer than a 2000 Series I Lunar Dragon. That puts it in numismatic territory.

Actually most of those mintages <1m would be numismatic. That's the sort of payback that you hope for when buying bullion coins.
