Not sure if i got one or not. No invoice or a order form. C/C was charged today, does this mean i got one?
 
Downies cancelled my order citing that they have sold out. :( I checkout and had received order confirmation pending deduction from my cc.

Anyone here got confirmed order with Downies? If not, I wonder who they "sold out" to when the items were made available online @ $450 even before Perth Mint went online.

Same here. I got in pretty early as well.

Same thing happenned to me - I cancelled the other item I ordered too because of this.
 
Same here. Had also ordered the Coloured Proofs and Gilded, just emailed John back to cancel all of them. I assume they are way over subscribed, so chances are they wil only fill orders to those people that they deal with regularly. Also, got an order in with Talisman Coins, just checked their website and they not filling orders either, only to people who bought the last proof and typeset release - and they have put their prices up 20%!. Good way to p*#s of prospective clients!

I'm not complaining though, I got a typeset from the PM, one of the lucky few :)

Yup, definitely p#@S by this kind of service. They take your order first and if prices and demand are way above their listed price and their inventory, they cancel your order and say sold out. If prices and demand not there, they stuff you with the items.

Yeah I got mine listed first bidder at $775 yesterday see how much it goes for hopefully quite alot :cool:
 
downies canceled my typeset order today too, after getting a confermation email that i had ordered it on the 4th, oh well thats the way the typeset crumbles pretty sure they wont get any more of my money.
 
i just receive a email from perth mint!!!! Can we help you with your Perth Mint order? and it contain my order for the typeset...but unable to checkout (say require cookie, the cookie might be at my office PC) :D
 
It's a bug in their system, had the same thing happen to me for the 1kg proof dragon but obviously couldn't checkout.
 
Downies cancelled my order too. I was advised at the time of ordering that Downies had half the mintage and that I would receive a set for sure.
 
Yeah I had Downies Cancell my order Too, I ordered within minutes of them being posted on the website, took my order held fund on my credit card and gave a confirmation number. Two days later I got the cancellation notice, I would have got one somewhere else if they had not confimed my order. I think this is a very shady way to do business if not even illegal since i consider the confirmation and hold on my funds a contract. I am super upset at Downies, Down with downies!!!!
 
So Downies basically short sell the typeset but they cover their naked shorts by cancelling the sale. Professional, yeah.
