Lunar Series 2 Gilded Mintages

I honestly can't beleive they're still available, I mean if you don't have at least 1 isn't it logical to buy some when there is so little left?

The moment they are sold out you can pretty much bump up the price $50. Wait awhile and who knows, could be looking at a $200 coin.

$200 would be great, but im guessing more like $140-150..

Considering the mintage is 50,000 vs 10,000 for a coloured proof. The coloured proof is still only selling on feebay for ~$200

I probably don't use the word "awhile" properly. I'm thinking months or a year away. I don't think you'll have to wait long for $150, late January at the latest ;)

Free shipping to the US too... gilded version from PM was priced lower than the standard BU here in the States.

Now why after all the crap in Oz about supply recently don't they do the same for their primary domestic market? That's like you guys in the US getting their gas subsidized by the Europeans all over again... There are only so many 'market size' arguments PM can make when they have buyers here having to reimport certain items from abroad cheaper?!?!

I wish Apmex did the same for us...

VRS ;)x

That free shipping to the US is on orders above $300. When you factor in currency conversion charges to your cc, it's not really free, just paid to somebody else, from my perspective.

Down to 315 :)
Careful about assuming that the Perth Mint is putting all their available coins into the web system. The total number of Gilded dragons between the two types (display box or capsule only) now numbers well over 500...

I found that out today which is a shame as I bought a few things last week due to thinking they were nearly sold out.

Ah well... lesson learnt :)

APMEX I think does the same, but then again, I really don't how they go about with their inventory.
It usually appears if APMEX at times is creating a false sense of shortage with their coins, I'll see a bunch of their coins sold out, and once they bring it back, the prices tends to move up. Although there are coins they have that haven't shown upfor ages that have been sold out.
Hmmm

May or may not be their games, but the website is showing only 33 of the boxed versions left :)

Never bought a gilded lunar coin and not going to start now. They have been the perennial under performer of the Proof, Bullion, Coloured Bullion, Gilded options.

I received my stupid gilded dragons today, prob the worst thing I've bought all year (other than that 45/oz silver, noob). Dumb impulses. Let's see if 2012 turns my frown :( up side down! :)
