lunar series 1 values

IMO dragon is number 1 close second is horse and tiger. After that is the snake I believe. The rest I dunno lol

Dragon, snake, horse, tiger, rabbit, rooster, rat, Ox, goat, monkey, dog, pig. The last 4 you can order anyway you want but about $70ea. First 4 are pretty much in that order with the dragon the most popular.

So essentially series 1 broken into the top 4 coins, then the 4 mid range coins then the 4 bottom range coins. In range 1 about $100 a coin except the dragon which is more like $120+ then range 2 around $80-$90 then range 3 which you can get for around $60-$70.

Matthew, I think your personal preferences and desires are influencing the outcome there. Who has series I lunars starting at $60 I will take every one of them?

Hmmmm, just series II Tigers have seen prices go upwards $100 and Apmex sells them for $109 wih their inventory being depleted. eBay tigers for series I are a super rare find and the proofs impossible as well (unless you pay $350)

Series I Lunars for top tier go between $120-150 (aside from Dragon)

Top tier like horse, tiger and snake.

The cheapest series I Lunars go for are around $80 (like the monkey, etc)

Also now the Ox is moving up quickly perhaps due to their series II coin exploding (series II Ox move easily for $100 alone)

A S1 proof tiger sold here recently for $160. I don't understand this. Mintage just released shows 541 sales of a possible 2,500. Total coins available of 541 is absolutely tiny - silver lunar tiger proof with this mintage should be twice the S2 price.

Supply and demand I suppose. IMO the S1 tiger looks 10x better than S2 as well.

Someone got a real nice deal on that coin.

San Jose coin shop has goat and rooster at $80 and pig at $70 US dollars as of Saturday. I thought about it but not really a bargain I thought. Spokane Washington coin shop had any series 1 lunars you want except the dragon for between $USD 70-90. That's how I arrived at my price estimates, not influenced by anything else.

I picked up a lunar 1 oz horse and 2 oz horse for $4 over spot at a coin shop here. Don't think that's the value of the coin ;)

I think it might be time to take a trip to Spokane, it's only a 7 hour drive.

It was my lucking into the Lunar 1 series in 2004 that got me started into collecting. Before that I was just buying bulk silver, silver eagles and 100 oz bars, stuff like that.
