I'll be honest - they're a mixed bullion/numismatic company, and the offers reflect that. They buy low and sell high.
Please don't make the mistake of calling them a numismatic company, they are not even remotely close to that. I would consider them a company that deals in high value bullion and low value bullion, because to them everything is bullion.

A big amen to that DB!!!

Already see a few items i want and can offer higher price .
You do not need ebay .. Just paypal :)

I'll be honest - they're a mixed bullion/numismatic company, and the offers reflect that. They buy low and sell high. Coins like the example you just gave are not bullion, so their expected premium for holding the stock is going to be a lot higher than say Somali elephants that would just get treated as low-premium rounds if they turn up and are not saleable as BU and turned over almost immediately (they're trusting that your descriptions match their expectations).

A low-turnover coin with high premiums is going to get a much lower offer than a bullion coin that can be bought at spot, and sacrificed to the random 1oz round bucket if it turns out to be less than pristine.

Dealer buyback prices on numismatics are never going to be stellar.

2013 HR 5oz Koala sold for $750. It was listed for only 4 hours before it was purchased, I should have asked for more lol

Elephants all sold in the first week...
2004 125
2005 170
2006 110
2007 100
2008 100
2009 55
2010 50
2011 45
2012 45
2013 33

Do I have to come right flat out and tell you everything, Gimme Some Money!

apmex sells bullion as a main product and numiz just as a byproduct
when offered to such companies you are going to get prices of their major business, i.e. bullion

you can go to smelter and ask how much it will give you for numiz ... (hint, it will be spot)
so, come to SS then eBay ...
