hi there, don't know where this should fit in. this may not be about precious metals, but this is kind of thing that somehow related with investments. so have you heard about long-term food storage..? They say, it can lasts up to 25 years..? Could it be true? And do you think it is a great investment nowadays?

The preservation of one's wealth and wellbeing against the economic and political uncertainties of this world is important for those who are concerned, and investing in precious metals is a key strategy commonly adopted by those individuals who are aware and concerned. There is no longer any forum on this site to discuss other aspects of preserving one's well being against these concerns.

There is a character called Water & Food on here though.

This

Plenty of information out on the web. Plenty of "how to" video's on YouTube. There's even an Australian based site.

Gold stores for ages :P

Grab some Mylar bags, throw a few oxygen absorbers in there with some white rice or beans, bang it in a food grade bucket, keep it in a cool place and it will last for 20+ years. Store some seeds and your set.

Spot on Geewiz..Only thing I do different is to put the rice ib the freezer for a few days then I put in mylar bags etc ^^^^

think you meant to say moisture absorbers (silica gel or similar)

so that's what makes the food lasts for a long period of time..? isn't that poisonous?

Not really Markets and Economies.

sorry, did I break the forum rules?

It's probably not my place to say however as I mentioned earlier, there are dedicated forums to this important issue. This is a privately owned forum interested in Precious Metals. It's his forum, his rules ;)
