I believe there can be approx 4x as many LTC in existence as BTC, once mining complete.

If LTC is 'better' (debatable) - and not taking into account the fact that 'BTC was first adopted', LTC could be worth at least 1/4 of BTC IF it becomes easily accessible.....

Mania is on - don't get stuck holding the bag though!
Unfortunately this is the same as people who go on about the 16:1 "historical" GSR

yeh well they will end up being right too

Wasn't performing to my high expectations... Sold my LTC at US$8.80

Happy enough with that. More than double money.

Best of luck to those holding!!

As far as I can tell, BTC-e is only at like $8.80 but OkCoin is up around the $15 mark??

BTCmarkets has horrible liquidity. Just not enough users on there despite being pretty easy to use.

Has meant being able to pick up bargains though at times on there - if you had cleared funds there today you could pick up cheap BTC.

Yeh I just did a tester $50 on there. Worked well and so did the Verification worked in minutes. Pluses to them. My 0.07 bitcoin sitting there now till payday to grow.

Yep I know - Chinese are waking up now too.... could go much higher.

I'm cashing out of all crypto's.

Happy with my profits.

WTF?

Man you need to get into gambling on horses if you want anything quicker than this.

The enjoyable part is, to get my LTC out I had to trade them for BTC.

BTC has since sky-rocketed, so making money while waiting for confirmations... mwahaha :)

Selling my LTC converted BTC for AU$850 :) Excellent!

Just a quick question for you more experienced out there...

if one purchases BTC or LTC at a specific exchange, are those "coins" stranded at that particular exhange or does one "take ownership" of these coins once purchased and can one then sell these coins at any other exchange??

Just trying to understand how this whole bluddy thing is supposed to work??

I would have thought that since this is "digital currency" that once it's been purchased by yourself then these coins are then yours to use or sell anywhere else on earth - including at any other exchange located anywhere on earth???

Is this not correct??

it is correct//But I would suggest you just do some reading..As I ..am still getting my head around it but basically you need a virtual wallet to store your coins on and keep offline

best of luck!

You can withdraw your coins at an exchange, the destination address is either your local wallet, or a deposit address at another exchange (which will be unique to your account on that exchange).

okay, so it would seem then that the safer option - if one is wary of an exchange collapse/bankruptcy is to rather download each coin purchased to one's own "wallet" ...

the only issue with this option being if one had to somehow lose this electronic "wallet", eg. disk failure of disk containing wallet etc. ??

any tips/links as to how I would go about establishing/creating my own virtual wallet?

I'm asuming that BTC's and LTC's cannot co-exist in the same wallet and that each type of "digital coin" has its own custom wallet?
