Most newsagents sold out of their full sets the week before.

Friendly with the people at the local newsagents, so they kept me one.

Now trying for a second set for a mate who missed out.. that should be fun to find at the issue price. :lol:

Just checked and it looks that infamous auction site still has a lot of this set listed as BIN, as well as auctions ending soon. A last resort if I can't get a set for my mate at issue price, but it's his money, not mine.

Although if it's me spending the money being asked now for this "ANZAC to Afganistan" coin set, and I wanted to stay with a modern minted Aussie Numi set, I'd go for a 2016 "Baby Set" or the 2016 "In Come The Dollars" set which includes the low mintage 1c and 2c piece in it

My friendly local newsagent kept an extra set for me , so problem solved .. he's a smart fella'.

I ended up with 2 of these, had to pay extra $25 or so to get them though :/ (Sorry forgot I posted this a while back)

Just forked out $180. for a 2015 Carded Red Poppy $1. ( yep, the RARE one ! )

Picked up the whole set of the 2015 20 cent set on THAT auction site for just $63.

So, the COMPLETE 2015 set has cost me $243.

If the 2016 sets can get to that price ... it will be worth all the time and effort !!

Only the $1 poppy that sky rocketed...2016 won't go anywhere as there is no special limited coins...and even the new 25 cent didn't really take off.

Actually there was a 25 cent coin struck by the Perth Mint in 1988, 1989 & 1990 as part of their Holey Dollar & Dump Silver commemoratives. The Holey Dollar had a legal tender value of $1.00 and the dump was 25 cents
