how come # 21 shows the 1oz kook as being $5 face value and the perth mint site in # 22 shows face value $1 for the 1991 1 oz coin,

Well, spot there Clear, another Perth Mint error.... on the website

The year 1990 & 1991 1 oz Kookaburras have $5 face value and both mintages is Sold Out... 300, 000 so no remint..
I would be worried then :lol:

Gotta luv the kooks...remints or not. I'm just soooooooo happy that I had a chance to stack these. So beautiful. And one day, those 2004's and 2006's will command a very high premium. The mintage on those are obscenely low, even wih the remints!!

Everyone knows you taken nice photos, and yours setup lighting are way better than others members.
I started up this thread for everyone to contribute their Kookaburras photos.

It is fine the way I look at - 1 For 1 , I complement his picture with nicest toning.

There are no Competition in here, but to complement each other out on items they have ( others members might have)
So every other can load their pictures here. No worries. Bring them on everyone. No competiton here.


Not like EM rather boring competitions on higher lower sideways. Finding excuse picking
on Chip "posts not making Sense". His posts is rather boring, as you can see he is bored.
Now making remarks on how others members should making sense.
EM and his Nonsense Remarks. Watch it old fools, you have steps on thin ice.
 
Chip I think you may have misinterpreted Tom's post, I don't think anyone is making it a competition.

Everyone please keep the photos coming, they are brilliant and far above my ability.

EM does comps quite regularly at a cost to himself and no personal gains, have you ever done such a thing Chimp?
I have also seen EM contribute to the many charity threads that have been up, have you ever done such a thing Chimp?

The 1991 coin was re-struck in 2011 / 2012.

Original mintage was 278,136 then it got knocked-up to 283,766 correct as at 13 April 2012 and then of course final re-strike for the 300,000.

Re-strikes included an additional 21,864 x 1oz Silver 1991 Kooks.
