Koala mintage questions, can anyone help.

Hi I'm collecting the little furry ozzies but am starting to see more and more variations.
So far I have the straight bullion mintage figures from the perth mint but what I'm trying to find out is what the carded minatges of the Dowwnies packaging.
I have a few of the PM carded varieties so far and have the mintage figures as listed below

Carded Koala Mintage Pert Mint (as listed by a fellow stacker recentley, any link to a web site for theses figures would be great.)

2007 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 3,060
2008 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 4,601
2009 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 6,292
2010 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 2,752
2011 FINAL COIN IN CARD MINTAGE: 11,865
2012 ???

So what are the Dowwnies carded mintage figures and do the the Dowwnies ones carry a higher preimum. Should I be chasing these varieties as well or stick with the PM releases?
Any links for carded mintage figures for dowwnies would be greatley appricated.
(And am I right in assuming that the 2010 carded PM Koala would be a 'key date')

PS: would a 2007 bullion (mintage of 137768) be a fair direct swap with a 2008 bullion (mintage 84057)?
 
Personally, I'd consider a 2007 a higher value than the 2008 because it is the first of this series struck irrespective of the mintage difference.

As for the carded mintages, they are on the Perth Mint site. Links are below. They say "final mintages" but with the Perth Mint and their restriking, who knows what that means!

You used to be able to find the 2007 and other year carded final mintages but I cant see them on the Perth Mint site now. The mintages of 3,060 for 2007 and the other years looks right from memory.
 
This was on Perth's collector site the other week.
The carded coins prior to 2012 issue seem to have been removed

That 2007 display card is the same as the ones I have. What makes you think they are a Downies card?

Far as I know they came out of the Perth Mint - which would make this coin one of the 3,060 released that year. I dont think Downies have a card made for any of the Koalas that I've seen.

That card has the Perth Mint logo on the picture of the back of the card.
No Downies logo or anything in the statement that it was issued by Downies.

BUT...

The Perth Mint website still has a listing for the 2008 koala and it shows a blue card....

... so were the 2008 green cards Perth Mint or from Downies ???

Is the brown 2007 card the only real one or did Perth Mint issue the green one as well ?

Im not sure what the 08 green card was made for but mine are definately blue and the same style as the 09,10,11,12 carded versions
 
Perhaps someone could email the mint this week but I reckon the green card is the Perth Mints card because its similar in design to the 2008 card (except for colour!)

If so did dowwnies do a green 07 or 09 or was the 08 a one off dowwnies thing. I'm serching but these Koalas are springing up everywhere. And I though they would be easier to collect than kooks because of less privy variations and an end of life mintage figure at the end of each year. :lol:

Getting these earlier carded koalas for a good price is the bigger challenge it seems :lol:
 
I can swap the 2010 koala in card for 2007 Koala carded... anyone? I think is good deal. I have seen one 2010 for $199 at fleabay.

In January PM will release the 2013 KOala in card.
I will get 1 oz and 1/10oz as well.

One question... when first 5 oz koala was released , 2011 or 2010?
 
What about the 2007 special show edition, what are they worth then? I have one i may consider letting go for the right price :)
