I think the mint has previously said, if you think you can do a better job, submit a design.

I've seen the actual minted Koala coins, this rendered image does not do it justice.

Very true. I thought the same about the 2012 koala design, but when I bought the coin and saw it in the flesh, it looked 100x better.

You don't have to be good at something to appreciate it or dislike it. Thats why we have stadiums for people to watch sport, walls to hang art on, etc.
I believe the criticism is fair

Perth normally release a youtube video which show the true beauty of their coins. :)

There's no bad Perth Mint coins, only good coins and better coins.

I'd like to see dealers post a few "real" images of the new coins. :)

haha. so funny.. thought the same thing when I received bullion list's email this morning... pretty damn ugly.
 
All the private mint's quality artwork around the world are making Perth Mint look bad. No security feature either.
Their reputation is downhill. Another fail.

No other business around acts like this. Imagine how successful any other business would be if they rejected critisism from customers and sujested they make it themselves. What a pompous attitude.
