Does anyone know of any bullion outlets in Brissy or the Gold Coast? I'm up there soon and wouldn't mind a look-see-buy in between swims.
Cheers

Of course Ainslie... http://www.ainsliebullion.com.au

has a good range of Bullions, coins etc... and at a good price wether you buying or selling.

Colonial Coins and Medals Trading as coinmedalshop.com.au

The Anzac Square Building

Shop 1/218 Adelaide Street

Brisbane QLD 4000 Australia

Phone: 3229 3949

Peter is the Man to ask about your numismatic questions, also used to have good connections to purchase bullions at great prices.

:cool:

Most of the coin shops have moved out of Brisbane CBD to the suburbs. A quick look at the yellow pages will confirm their location. The only one left in the CBD as far as i know is Colonial Coins and Medals that domdolittle mentioned above.

I have had no problem with their service.

I don't know about their service, but that web site is so slow it's almost unusable! And they seem to be adding GST to 999 silver and gold... huh?

Hi Dwayne,
Thank you for your input regarding my website (www.aust-tech.com). My name is Shane and I am the owner of Aust-Tech. With regard to speed on my website, security of member information is first and foremost as opposed to speed and I expect speeds will be faster with the updates currently occuring.

Regarding GST, we apply two simple rules as outlined in the following document (irrespective of prices displayed on the website. Orders are re-comfirmed upon checkout);

Goods and Services Tax: What is 'precious metal' for the purposes of GST?

which basically states for purchases in Australia:
If item is a cast bar or bullion coin, GST is not applied;
for all other non-bullion items (eg proof Gold and Silver coins), GST is applied.
For international customers, irrespective of item, GST is not applied.

Look forward to seeing you all at www.aust-tech.com

And Kaz, many thanks for recognising my service to you. :)

Regards

Hi Projack,
Thanks for visiting my site and for your feedback. All feedback is appreciated as it shows what areas of my site require attention.
GST issue has now been rectified and all bullion items have been amended to reflect that no GST is levied on any bullion items as per law.
As previously noted, all orders are double-checked before checkout and payment irrespective of prices on the website.

Regards
