I was browsing BB website today and saw the 2012 10x10oz dragon for $3375.93 while spot sitting on $29.87.That makes it each around $338. When I bought mine from them back in last year I remember spot was around $28.70.That is about a $1 cheaper and paid the same money and according to them I got a good deal:) How is that possible if they always adjust their prices after spot? Did silver get cheaper in any way because that is what I see. Higher spot, same price...$1 drop in spot should mean $10 drop off a 10oz coin or bar?

Just as sentiment goes up and down on spot, so it does on premiums as well. There's no set rule that any given item will maintain a fixed premium over spot. A case in point is 1 Kg PAMP bar which used to command a much higher price than Ainslie or Perth Mint ones. Recently we've been seeing them go for about the same price as other 1 Kg bullion. This will probably change again over time. It depends on what the sentiment for that particular piece of silver is like at the time.

Moved to silver forum.

Dealer premiums are not set in stone - each dealer is free to raise or lower premiums as they see fit (or in response to market conditions).

Back than, silver spot was rising almost on a weekly basis - thus the premium was higher.
Currently, spot is going nowhere and there are more people now expecting a fall, than last year when spot was $28.

Have been browsing bb all day, some decent deals on the bigger dragons, just trying to pull the trigger on either a bundle of 2oz or a few 5'ers

one of the 2012 lunar dragon silver 10KG coins from the perth mint.
im not into coins but this really strikes me :)
Pray for no toning or milk spots. I'd rather 10 x 1kg bars so I can clink them around, do bicep curls, keep my door open. Much more practicle Ohhh and when you want to sell at the top you get 10 sell opportunities.

Well I'm guessing since there minted they should be high quality! All the bars I get from Perth mint arent minted and therefor
A lot nastier looking :-/

Nice idea about the bicep curls, I was gonna drill a hole out these larger coins, put a rod through them
And just use it as a bench set hahaha ;)
