It's easy to say things when you haven't had close encounters with this virus.
You can also catch the cold/flu from being sneezed on. Why wasn't Australia in lock-down in 2017 when 1,255 Australians died?
You may change your tune about these lockdowns once the government cant afford to give out free money any more and you start seeing friends and family cant put food on their table

Sweden has just 13 patients in intensive care and has suffered an average of a single death per day for the last 10 despite avoiding lockdown.
Stockholm's strategy of 'herd immunity' - once backed by Downing Street - to allow the disease to spread through the population, was criticised as reckless but the data increasingly vindicates the decision.
Sweden (population 10 million) has 13 patients in intensive care, by comparison the United Kingdom (population 66 million) has 843 patients in hospital, 80 of them on ventilators.
Furthermore, Sweden has had an average of just one death per day for the last 10, compared to 9.3 fatalities each day in the UK over the same period.
That's a silly comment. If you’d been paying attention to the MMT thread you’d know that the government can never run out of money.
I guess that’s what happens when you don’t want to learn and block other forum members.![]()
In May 2020 a study showed around 7.3% of Swedes had COVID-19 antibodies. That's 746,790 people. The vast majority of these recovered without even knowing they had it. They didn't "end-up as vegetables" or "say they'd rather die than survived" as you said previously.
The numbers don't lie. COVID-19 is only slightly worse than the regular flu.

WRONG ! they are CONSPIRACY DENIERS not conspiracy theorists ! ......
^^^ Why are you still here in Aus then if you don't want the lockdown? If you're here in Melb, you hv lockdown, if you're in Sweden, you can run like 'free-willy,...? Sweden has 'better' nudist parks too..
So, you want more deaths on younger generations before you listen..?
For me, one death is already too many... But in COVID case, it's not the deaths that worry me, it's the aftermath of these COVID survivors that require on-going health support..
The strict rules have prevented hospitals being overwhelmed.
Easy to sit here now and say there is little harm as we limited the spread and its impact by having the lockdowns.
Like I said, one death is too many.. I never said millions died of seasonal flu was ok... nothing is different with now, govt tries to cap lives being lost, but population says otherwise.... excuse: FREEDOM!Millions died from seasonal flu in years gone by ... was that ok or is it different now the MSM turned it into a hysteria ....

Such a naive post .
Two full pages following this comment seem to agree on my view on the matter.
