The strict rules have prevented hospitals being overwhelmed.
Easy to sit here now and say there is little harm as we limited the spread and its impact by having the lockdowns.

The info I put up is also from govt departments, but folk still struggle to accept what it really means. For months I've been pointing out to my wife the inconsistencies the media and govt are coming up with, and the penny has finally dropped only recently.

Media got you reading this comic, right?! Another mis-information from media, government more concerned on survivors, they will be the future financial strain. These ppl will need assistance cause the aftermath of COVID, ie. rehab is the main one. This will drain financial funds as every those affected ppl will not have financial funds to get these helps.. thus, public health system needs more funds.. where are these funds from? Government sectors, eventually all comes to our own money collected from tax payers.. what happens when tax is being increased? Another class action, yay yay!
we all are paying for these ppl who wanted to 'exercise' their RIGHTS, right?!

Prevention is better than cure. We all know that, right?!

The strict rules have caused that the hospitals being overwhelmed. Do your own research and compare,how many people have died and still passing away on cancer, heart problems or MS because the hospitals postpone the treatment,and no one cares?
Why haven't we have lockdowns when HIV was around or some other more agressive diseases? Your own awareness help you answer this question. Unless you haven't been effected by lockdown,been to hospital at the time or refuse some other treatment than Covid 19 you'll never understand what is all about and what agenda has the Government.

Tell me in details of what government has on their sleeves, apart from keeping everyone safe and public health system to cope during this crazy time? Yes, SYD was in lockdown, SYD ppl did suffer during that lockdown, and we came out of it by getting ease lockdown plan. Have we got out without sacrifices? no. We sacrificed for 3-4 weeks with just visit local supermarkets to get essentials. No rallies, no public demonstrations, and keeping our distance. ALL still APPLIES to SYD ppl. Yes, there are individuals who still exercise their freedom of rights/speech... government listens and acts not to disperse them but to ensure social distancing still applies to ALL SYD residents.Unfortunately, media takes the main contents out, media tells it like cops dispersed rallies, etc etc... cause they WANT us to READ their articles!

They may as well be overwhelmed, they are sitting empty with no one getting treatment for other illnesses more deadly.
No one is getting treatment anyways so doesnt matter. They are just as useless as if they were full of covids.
Only three cases of healthy people dying in this country and they were still over the age of 60.

And as pointed out by the governments own stats this is an old age problem not a young persons problem and yet the young are the ones getting the worst of it.
Protect the old let every one else go about their business keeping the ecconomy going.

You may change your tune about these lockdowns once the government cant afford to give out free money any more and you start seeing friends and family cant put food on their tables.

Or one of your sick kids is denied entry into a hostpital because they want to keep the beds empty for ZERO covid patients.
Thats what is going on around my area.
So how exactly is this helping people get treatment in hostpital for other things?

So, you want more deaths on younger generations before you listen..?
For me, one death is already too many... But in COVID case, it's not the deaths that worry me, it's the aftermath of these COVID survivors that require on-going health support..
