Is this worth stacking? I have seen a few lately in Melbourne, and I am always concern with the hassle of trying to sell in future.

I know Langton can help, but I am not sure if Langton's the best option to get rid of your bottle of scotch? Is there a better way to sell a bottle of Scotch?

Last thing I want to do is stack something and realise that it is way too hard to sell in the future (learn from a few past mistake!)

Green label is the best JW out there. I have some.

You need to check what the laws are regarding if you can sell it or not. Government has strict regulations making resale of alcohol near impossible without a license.

From my experience it's not worth it.

Check the listing, all have licenses that cost thousands.

Ebay will not let the public list alcohol, it's illegal.

There are arguments and some allowance but honestly it's not worth it.
 
So they are ..... Didn't realise that, picked up a case of 6 myself last week ..... I did order 16 via click and collect dan murphys but cancelled the other 10 and got a refund

Green label is a vatted malt comprising of 15 different single malts with a 15yo age statement.

It is chilled filtered and colored.

Having said that, try it. You might be surprised, best one in JW line up for sure.

I have tried it and most of the others in the range. I come from a family of JW drinkers and I'm not trying to bag it completely like others may. It just always seems to me that a better option exists whether you after low or top end stuff and mostly for a cheaper price as well. I am aware that people have different preferences too.

Oh man! I've never tasted green lable and you're making me want to open my only bottle of green
 
If you want to sell your bottles in the future, just remember to sell them as "bottles".

The fact that there's alcohol inside is purely incidental.
 
I have a case of the new release and a couple of the original blend that was discontinued

I haven't and in a way seems too good to be true but certainly looks like a cool thing!

I'm confused... Why do they sell it to you and then buy it back a few years later for more? Is it just to raise capital?

Cashflow.

They can't sell the whisky they produce today until it matures, so they've got all bills and no revenue for 4+ years. You've got to have very deep pockets to finance the running costs out of your pocket and bank finance costs about 8% (unsecured variable rate), so paying a few percent more through direct investment in the stock isn't a huge deal. It's actually quite an old form of financing that originated in Scotland.

When you consider what Nant whisky retails at, being able to buy (back) a barrel of mature whisky whenever they need it is still cheap at the price they pay for it.

Nant do make exceptionally good whisky BTW.
 
I 've had some for a few years - got them as a swap on SS. I've tried several times to swap back, not much interest, and selling is a real issue with regards to licensing laws etc.

But it's really not a bad drop :P
 
You guys know that if you stack Rum and Ammo there's no need to stack silver and gold... Or anything else for that matter...

Easy to sell and trade in our place without hassle.
I drink and love whisky, i do collect and keep boxes in variety in my home bar, some limited editions are gifts.
Ooooh, but last night i can't resist, I'm so BLUEI WalkEdcheers:)
