I bought a beautiful 18k gold chain while back and have been using it to hang a 24k pendant with a 585 bezel/holder. Could someone please give me a definitive answer...will the different hardness scratch the 18k chain? I dont think it will but its an awesome piece and dont want to mark it. Appreciate any insight thankyou

It's more likely that the 24k pendant will get scratched over time because that is pure gold, regardless of the bezel.

It should have a jump ring between.

Mixing different karats of gold jewelry can be tricky, but in your case, the 18k chain should generally be okay with the 24k pendant.
