Is this it? Is the Aussie economy headed into recession or worse?

Yours might not be, and I hope mine are not, but have a look at landfill, for instance, or pollution. Greed.

Except if you are referring to the two local Labor MP's who are quite happy to enact legislation that protects their interests at the expense of others. But I know you are not referring to politicians, after all, we need them to protect us from the rapacious corporate world.

I thought they are a by product of waste.

shiney, hes given some great speeches I'm sure you would like alot of what he has to say :P

Shiney I'd accept a lot more of your arguments if there was some sense of "noblesse oblige" in society, but greed and selfishness render many of your arguments moot in the real world. The industrial revolution and WW1 ended all that.
Noblesse oblige would be a natural part of the peaceful society that shiney! talks about. It goes hand-in-hand with membership of service clubs and Friendly Societies which will be the major vehicles for supplying a wide range of social services. All such societies have/had similar codes of ethics.

Everybody freaking out about nothing ... The demand is still GROWING but just in single digits ....As long as demand is still growing who really cares ..When it starts to DECREASE i would be starting to worry until then you guys need to step away from the panic button. What grows in double digits for ever ? ....nothing lol

Exactly.
The whole world operates like this, including governments, you gotta show compounded 20% growth a year forever, or it's the end of the world
