I didn't ask about planchets / blanks in the opening statement of the the post. I asked were the coins minted in Canada ? The question was avoided as a politician would do.

Are you really sure he avoided your question? To me what he said sounds like a precise response.
Of course, you can still think that he's lying... but why would he?

Bron, I think you need to re-read the original question in the post.

Has it ever had coins stuck outside PM? ;)

I think we won't get a straight answer on this one fishtaco.

Cheers

Case closed.

My team and myself have the answer.

No point sawing sawdust on this topic.

P.s- I'd like to thank all those who participated in allowing my team and I to arrive at the obvious conclusion.

Many thanks, Take Care.

You are looking for and reading things in that aren't there silversearcher. The Perth Mint does not get coins struck by outside mints. I doubt the Australian government would even allow Australian legal tender precious metal coins to be struck by another mint even if we asked.

We don't buy precious metal blanks from outside (base metal eg bronze blanks yes). All our gold and silver comes from our refinery sourced directly from mines and scrap from Asian region, and for silver in the past when demand goes crazy (like 2008) we will ship in LBMA bars to top up our refinery output from mine supply (most of our silver is as by product of gold refining, with small amount of primary silver from miners).

Jm Bullion sells them for USD17.39 as of now...
This is from their web site "Any Quantity Available for Only $2.49 Over Spot!"
As far as I can see we are getting ripped off here in Australia.
Unless someone can give me a better price for this coin. (single coin price is USD17.39) That is CHEAP!

Why is there such a big premium on this coin?? Am I missing something here?
Looked up one dealer, in a tube of 25 they have it priced around $4.30 over spot per coin ($3.30 if you buy 500). That's around $2 cheaper per coin than you would pay for other Perth Mint coins (that come individually capsuled).
