Is Silver Too Expensive at $30/oz

It's common to see people bidding well over spot for silver lately. One ounce bullion bar around $45 plus freight. What kind of customer is willing to pay these prices ?

Maybe it's JPM trying to get as much as they can from wherever they can to cover their shorts :D

If silver quietly gets to $40 the way it got to $30 I'll say it's not expensive. If at $40 it's in every paper and on everyones lips then it's too expensive.

C

So is Gold expensive because people remember the days when it was cheaper?
When i mean cheaper i mean the people saying this were making less fiat dollars compared to today!

Ha, or the Arabs are getting in on the act ?

I ask myself "Will Silver be $30 an oz in 25 years time"? The answer is NO. Will I sell my Silver before then, NO. How much will I have in 25 years time, over 10,000 oz. So I will keep on buying minimum of 10 oz every 14 days, with the odd oz of gold for good measure.

Can I fund my retirement with 10,000oz of Silver, ABSOLUTELY!!

I generally pay well over spot for semi-numis but they tend to be more stable in the silver market. For example if you pay $65 for a privy mark Kook & the price of silver drops to $25.00 the coin will still be worth $65.00 due to it's numismatic value. If your a bullion stacker you'll get hit by the spot price reduction immediately. Something I have noticed recently is the obvious upward price trend on ebay. I don't often buy from there but it's interesting to see a trend developing. It's common to see people bidding well over spot for silver lately. One ounce bullion bar around $45 plus freight. Here's a perfect example.

I only buy coins, gives some downside protection to the Ag spot price if it heads south due to the collectors value and an opportunity to rise beyond spot if there is scarcity of the coin. Bullion bars have no collection value.

I've paid between $15.50 & $20 each,worst case scenario $10
Originally sold for $45 new

$30 is way to expensive for silver. I think everyone should sell all their silver now!

Then the price of silver will come down and I will be able to buy at cheaper prices :p

ok, thanks, bye

Happy to pay only $30 an ounce. My last 15 maples were $495 or(33per) this week. All the other maples were $35- $45 each. Yikes!:o
It may seem cheap now.

Spannermonkey! You are the smartest monkey of them all. All the coins are worth $10 each and if your average price was $17.50 then you are buying under spot.

You might be the smartest monkey but I don't know if you are the wisest.

I have been stacking these for quite some times but being a wise old monkey I won't tell you what are my favourites and why. Not until I have stacked another 100 or two.
