So you're saying that leverage debt speculative asset investment all comes down to a question of 'intestinal fortitude'?

Interesting.

I'd have thought it would take a lot more courage to not just follow the rest of the herd into rigged markets to make a living, but what would I know?

You're the one laughing.
To do nothing doesnt take courage . It takes .............nothing . :( & in return you will get ......nothing

Confucious says He hears but he forgets, He sees and he doesn't remember,if he does it he will understand.

He who learns but does not think is lost. He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger :P

Kind Regards

Some people start out with nothing, and after many years of putting their shoulder to wheel, nose to the grindstone, persevering at their job, saving hard and living within their means, the manage to hold on to it.

Then there's others who start out (with nothing I might add). After many years of, dreaming, speculating, and borrowing, they finally build themselves a large fortune ... in debt.

Confucious says man who has hand in other man pocket, not feeling himself today.

Confucious also said man who sticks his head in the sand and dwells on negative thoughts is oblivious to the opportunities that life presents. :P

there are only two types, those that make things happen and those that wonder what happened.

so quite simply make your own destiny. go ahead, make your own day instead of worrying why some have better days than you :) making history is more fun than reading about it.

There's only two types. Those who categorize people into two broad groups, and those who don't.

they lucky coz they get two females and they fight each other not him

Stuck in a nest having to listen to two females bitching at each other all day sounds miserable...... is they why they stick their head in the sand? So they don't have to hear it?

tell you a bit about the ostrich, when in does not want to be seen it sticks its hea in the sandas we all know. ostriches are racial, the males are black,in mating sysem nothing black moves in their paddock. they got serious toes and if ever attcked lay on your stomack and put your arms over your head and take the stomping. if you stand they can split you open like a razor. they lucky coz they get two females and they fight each other not him :) hows that for of topic and a piece of useful info while crossing the birds field

That'll be useful. Is it similar with emu's?

RE head in sand, I thought that was simply to do with them tending their eggs in their nests (which funny enough are on the ground not in a tree) or something with them scooping up gravel to grind food? Maybe I should just Goggle it.
