Industry survey: Australian online bullion shopping survey

76 responses so far - will keep it open until there's at least 100.

Initial observations:

* Pack of unloyal bastards :D The number of people that shop at 3 or more online retailers is astounding, and probably a message to dealers that they're not doing enough to retain business.
* Not sure how to include "sheep" as a payment method. It's not what the S in GSR is about.
* "Cheapest price" is about midway down the list on top reasons why a dealer is a favourite.
* About 65% of respondents said ID requirements impact the size of their purchases.

We shop around because different dealers hold different stock! Nothing wrong with spreading the love.

Dealers - the full results will be shared within the Australian Bullion Dealers Network industry-only group on LinkedIn. Summarised results for readability will be shared on the forum.

If you sold ( well listed ) PM proof cons on your website I would do most of my shopping at Gold Stackers. You don't so I buy mainly from Bullion Bourse, as they also hold orders to ship in one lot.

Thanks for the feedback.

Gold Stackers coined the term "mini allocated" for combining multiple orders - we've been holding orders for combined shipping since we started. It's an explicit option in the checkout.

We are purely a bullion business though - apart from one or two very limited forays into proof versions of specific bullion coins, we don't sell numismatics or other precious metals items with GST.
