Welcome to the forum IrvineShum! I will keep your contact info in my address book as I do have interest in some MCC's (Modern Chinese Coins and medals).

Do you have access to acquiring for your customers medals made from the private (unofficial) Chinese mints? In my view, many of these medals are more desirable to me than some of the medals from the official mints.

i always do offical china mint medal
private mint nobody buys in china
cos they like to get the grade from ngc or pcgs

they only buy very interesting topic medals from unoffical mint

But that's not entirely true. NGC is grading some unofficial private mint medals like these:

http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/index.aspx?CertNumber=3363659-005

http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/index.aspx?CertNumber=3620823-004

And besides, you came onto a forum that is not exclusively Chinese members, so the fact that "nobody buys in china" is a moot point here, is it not?

Additionally, I was told by a long time Chinese medal collector and someone who speaks with great knowledge and authority that many Chinese medal collectors do not like the graded medals as much as the medals in the OMP (original mint packaging). So this point also would partially invalidate the claim that nobody in China buys the private mint medals because only the official mint medals are graded by NGC and PCGS. If some or many Chinese don't, then it probably isn't for the reasons you claim.

EDIT: What would be some examples of "very interesting topic medals"

.

private mint in fact still made in china offical mint
just private person paid the moneythats why ngc can grade them

real private mint in china almost are fake from zhejiang
unless with china Numismatic Association

topics such like three kingdom maozedong longervitydragonare very interesting

if u interested some medals just tell me i can find for u

i mean professional buyers dont buy

some new collector will buy them

i like to do mint medals
cos i have more usa buyers only buy medals from ofiical mint and must with coa

or maybe some medals lost coa they must ask ngc or pcgs can grade or noif cant they dont buyof course i want to sell everything from china
haha

r u interested in australia medal

Wow you have many coins for sale on your ebay page. Would you pass the savings to forum members that you would normaly pay in fees to ebay if we buy from the forum (outside ebay)? Cheres

Thank you for the info IrvineShum.

What do you mean by this?:
real private mint in china almost are fake from zhejiang
If you can explain better to help me understand, I will appreciate it.

And what do you mean by this?:
i like to do mint medals
Do you mean official mint medals only?

r u interested in australia medal
Do you mean the Perth Mint medals? I have no interest at all in the Gods of Olympus series. In my opinion, this is one of the worst looking medal I have ever seen.

Thank you, I will let you know. Do you ship from Australia or from China?

Also, just so you know, I buy medals for collecting, not investment. So I don't care if a medal is from an official mint or from a private mint. In my opinion, some of the medals from the official mints are terrible medals which I would never buy. On the other hand, some of the private mints make much better medals than the official mints. One of my favorite Chinese medals is the New Century Snake Dance medal, look how wonderful it is:

fake medals from zhengjiang mean

just Material pro
they always copied from offical medal design

but some medals really looks nice

I can't recall ever seeing an Australian medal, can you give examples of some from your eBay store?

I am familiar with some of the European countries and their excellent quality medals and of course many of the Chinese medals are exquisite. I also really like some of the American medals but I don't know anything about Australian medals.

Century mints is one of the private mints in Shanghai China. They are well known and some of the products are acceptable by Ngc and grade.

Fan art is one good stuff but too expansive and not many Chinesse in China buy it.

They did the 2013 Singapore coin fair medal for panda America and Ngc acceot to grade it.

Check online some of their outstanding stuff if possible

IRvine good to see you here.

And I would add, perfect timing because of the name change to this section!

I did not realize that the New Century Mint is well established. I have had e-mail conversations with one of the New Century Mint customer support agents and he tells me the mint is very busy. I have looked at their online store and many of the medals are very impressive. If I had more money, I'd buy many of their medals.

What do you consider fan art? Please help me understand.
