I ONLY Collect MS-70 Coins

Gold or silver?

If you're collecting normal silver bullion coins graded MS70, I guess you really have deep pockets.

Depending on who's service you use, it could be a perfectly fine endeavor. My recommendation is to stay away from labels with service provided by NACS and similar unreliable grading services.

.

I personally don't like graded coins, as I prefer having them in original capsule and all... but anyway this is not the point and if I was to collect graded ones, I would also only get 70 ones too.
I wouldn't be able to pay a premium for "only" near-perfect ones, when I know perfect gems are out there.

Obviously, this is only applicable for modern NCLT!

Any opinions??

I say collect on.....Just do it with your eyes wide open. You are investing in premium and could get a large percentage of your holdings tied up in something without intrinsic value. Premium goes up and premium goes down but as long as you understand the implications then why not!

Well why not?
It is good to have standards.

I collect uncirculated banknotes, perfection at a much cheaper price, and when you are paying for perfection then the intrinsic value becomes less important.

I don't think I own any graded coins, when I buy them they are usually straight from the mint in a capsule, I am sure if I looked very hard I would be able to find some imperfections but I don't even look at most of the coins I buy. At least with the banknotes they are more artistic, bigger canvas and a better medium I guess.

You've meant ANACS?

I don't find much info about NACS. :)

I have one MS70 2006 ASE gold coin for genuine sale (graded by NGC)
PM me if you are interested.

Well if you're loaded, you would definitely be interested in a gold 2010 MS70 lunar tiger as well! :p

Narrowing down the possibilities of what you can collect.
I picked up a 1938 crown the other day.
It must grade at least VF+ 25 :)
Only 45 off an ms70 but still looking good!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you can't stand knowing there is a better coin out there then so be it.

When the shtf and the zombie apocalypse is upon us ms70 will buy the same loaf of bread as a couple of beaten old florins!

Cheers
