I have determined the perfect stacker stack

I'd agree with the original poster, except if you live in the UK. As I now do.

The VAT on silver is a killer.

I now only buy gold.

Eidt: I guess this is not really advice, more a lament. :(

If a 15% GST is added to silver here I think we will, all have to rethink any additions to our stack. Maybe switching to gold would be the sensible thing in that case.

Kinda close to what I'm aiming for as a long term strategy for me...I just have to start buying it all...that my fun fun dilemma...

Core stack: 10oz bars and 1kg bars
Bullion coins: 1oz kook and koalas
Fractional: Misc. 1966 round 50s and pre decimal

Cheers, HAPPY STACKING :-)

Very interesting. I've settled on a 10oz bars + 1oz coins strategy which is working well for me. I'm thinking I have been remiss in not considering fractionals as featuring here. I'd be interested in views on including fractionals in a stacking strategy. Thanks!

i'm a relatively new stacker, but my strategy for my stack is more or less:

10oz bars (i really like perth mint here) and 1oz gov mint rolls (ASE mainly) for weight
kooks and lunars for flipping

as a collector, i'm also interested in completing the lunar/kook sets myself, but thats more for me rather than as an investment.

that way i have the best of both worlds. the trick is to determine what is a suitable ratio for you in terms of weight:semi-numi, and that ratio will be dependent upon your stacking goal/time frame.
