Thanks rbaggio, perth mint is going to have extra BU in the market. My question is, will anyone sacrifice the typeset to allow an extra BU to circulate in the market? Not me....
 
gotta feel sorry for all those people who paid top dollar at the hight of dragon fever now they are stuck lossing many hundreds of dollars per coin and set .

pretty much done myself with the PM

australia post killed the PNC market with their gread the PM are doing the same thing people will learn this very quickly now you can only get burnt so many times before you back away from the fire.

keep the dragons coming :D

The Perth Mint website is advertising this 10 coin Dragon set as part of its next release in April.

Also usually around March the coloured bullion coins are released so no surprises with the 10oz coloured.
 
Well I guess if you are going to have a picture it may as well be a big one.

I appear to have gotten over my reflex gagging at coloured coins, I may get this one.
 
The 10 coin dragon set retails for $990.. Looks nice, it's in a box same design as the normal red and black plastic Lunar II case

Also for 1oz plain silver dragon, the price coming down fast, now on Ebay, $70 can buy one. I bought too early, paid $90. lessons learned :)

On the money there BB the RRP is $990, im looking at the picture and the price now...

There is a row of three coins then a row of four and then three again ! and the non coloured is in the top left hand corner ;)

dealers get the coin for atleast 15% below the RRP

Thanks for the link - great find! To be able to see the entire PM lunar dragon range is very helpful.

Am still pissed at the PM for releasing the 10 coin set locally, totally devalues the 9 coin Asian market version and especailly after I got an email from them last year specifically stating that they were not going to release any of the coloured coins here in Australia!

Nothing I can do about it, have only been stacking for a short time but it sure has been an interesting learning experience :lol:

I can hardly see how it would de value, the montage difference may even push the Aussie version a bit.. Will have to wait and see
 
There's more variations of these things than a dulux color chart.

Who knows which size, shape, color or brand of dragon coin will be worth the big bucks in the future. Hard to do a formguide when they keep adding entries to the field. :/
 
Next (last?) big issue after the 10-coin-set will be the 5oz silver proof -

anybody knows details? (mintage, date of issue, price?)

You may be right, but the 10 coin set is being sold for less than the 9 coin set and includes an extra 1oz bullion that is supposedly sold out. I have a feeling the only reason the 10 coin set being sold here is that the Asian version was not a great seller and they have coins left over or returned that need to be sold.
From what I have read, the mintage limit for 1oz coloured lunars is 170,000 (as per previous years) - 20,000 sets with 9 coins = 180,000 coins?! If you add the extra 2,500 10 coin sets we have another 22,500 coloured coins floating around - 202,500 plus whatever coloured 1oz red coins have been sold to europe plus an extra 2,500 bullion silver coins (over the 300,000 limit already sold).

Just does not make any sense to me :/

But as I said, it has been a good learning experience - next time will just go after the 1oz proofs, 3 coin set and maybe typeset - thats it!
 
Got really sick with the dragons, I would stay away from them, even the high relief, saving for the snakes instead.
