The original is off the North East coast of England. AKA Holy Island. Actually quite a nice place to visit if you're in the area.

The tides were not helpful the day I stood on the shore wanting to take the causeway to the island. So I missed out. Will go back one day!

Nice place, the Tassie one.

Interesting you should comment that
Local council just spend $$$ on the trees and seats.
yet you also say
Woolies is the beast that holds it all together
The ratepayers of whatever local council Lindisfarne are part of would have had next to no say in how publicly acquired wealth should have been spent, in contrast to Woolworth's productively acquired wealth.

So, which is a beast and which is a beauty?
