How would you like your coins delivered

packed them the way you want to receive them.

many things can happen in transit, like a postie may drop the pack, or a dog may pee on it, or the rain fall on it.

3 x 50s is the price of the Silver Stacker

no guarantee, but make sure it does not pop out

Bad form hem9. Even if you believe that you did everything right, sometimes as a seller you have to suck it up to keep your reputation clear. This stand for a few bucks does not seem to be worth it in the long run. If this had happened on eBay, they would have pinned this on you for sure. Evidence seems to support the buyer, why not just refund and move on? Hope this works out for both sides, no one needs all this bad ink.

@ hem9 -

First, you messed up with the packaging.
Second, you charged double the shipping cost.
Third, you got caught with lying about cardboard packing.
Fourth you take zero responsibility.
Fifth, you gave retaliation feedback.

Why don't you take this situation as a lesson learned and refund the buyer? But rather you'd throw away your reputation for $30. Really??

.

sorry i dont want to sell to you as i might not package it safely.

Sixth, then you make a smart ass comment to Howudn in your sales thread.

You just really don't get it

Probably because it had personally addresses of both buyer and seller. There are safety concerns with someone knowing the address of who owns gold/silver. No matter how much of an ass someone is, you still can't post their address for the public to see.

Also, you don't really need to see the pic to know what's going on, you can infer everything from the posts. All that's relevant is that the hole in the envelope is only as big as the coin, so that shows that no cardboard backing was in there like how the seller lied about.

Consensual democracy: http://forums.silverstackers.com/message-687778.html#p687778 ;)

Edited for being a goober.

That link doesn't work mate

You need to be subscribed to view that thread, it is in the member's only sub-forum. It is a discussion about the demise of democracy, basically your issue is an example of how conflict should be resolved under a top-less federation. I'll quote a couple of passages just to give you an idea (and to show it is not critical of you):

It will be interesting to see how it pans out. So far the Administrators are doing a wonderful job giving freedom to this issue and not taking a top-down authoritarian stand*, the two members involved have a lot of ground to cover to come to a consensus. The issue could not be resolved privately (which is the preferential form of conflict resolution) it is now out in the "forum" for debate and input by others who have a vested interest in seeing this matter resolved. Precedence has been mentioned by a number of members, both members should heed this ie norms.

*I'm anticipating that the Administrators will let this issue run until either, the issue is resolved, or it's reaches a point in the debate where it becomes damaging to the private interests of the forum owners and by association, the good name of all members.

seriously, why is this topic 3 pages long? is it that hard to solve this tiny problem? gee, do u want me to send $15?

hem9 you're clearly in the wrong on this one, it's a blemish on an otherwise impressive trade history.
chalk it up as a cheap lesson and fix this, HOWUDN does not deserve to be out of pocket.

failure to do so and it's going to hurt you more than anyone in the long run.

NOTHING has been said about

TRUST & HONESTY

On these two items alone comes our reputation which we have to earn, without which we ARE a nothing, this dispute should never have got this far, why do we not have a dispute center similar to eBay or why have not our administrators stepped in long before this small, but highly serious, matter escalated to such a degree.
Silver Stackers has a worldwide following and membership and our integrity and reputation should be protected at all costs, at all times without fear or favour and this approved public dispute is definitely not the way to promote ourselves or more importantly, our organisation.

This is exactly my thoughts also I find this an outstanding forum with most members being ridiculously helpful generous and understanding but it is all ruined by a few I am not arguing this point over the $30 it is the principle of the matter that I will not let go that a member can show no respect or responsible toward another and just move on and continue as if nothing happened and believe that they are right which they are clearly not.

Actually I posted my opinion very early in the thread thank you.

Am I supposed to go visit someone and strong arm an ounce of silver out of them?

It doesn't work like this. If admins and mods step in to actively force the seller to take a certain action, then this sets precedence that every time a deal goes sour, it's the admin's responsibility to resolve it. They are not mediators.

This is first and foremost a forum, not a buying/selling website that needs a formal dispute section.

Were any enquiries made to Australia Post... from experience in Australia Post many years ago, sorters would often find heavy items at the bottom of sorting bins... Also letters going through an automatic stamping machine can cause considerable damage to a letter and it is not always detected...The PO would hold these items waiting for someone to inquire about missing items.

Also there is the chance of theft not only from postmen, but contractors and mail room workers as well.

Posting by regular post is not the way to go IMO..You have to weigh up the risk for small purchases such as 3 fifty cent rounds.

Those CD's boxes that the post office sell might be an option too.

so you are telling me nothing is being done about this? He gets away with it and can keep selling with no repercussions and I loose out on all my cash and I am not aloud to even voice an opinion without topics being removed I think that is very one sided and leaving a lot of people on here open to being ripped off I think some personal favoritism might be at play here
