How to calculate weight of silver in coins

This is probably a stupid question, but I can't find it on Google.

I have a lot of US Commemorative dollars that are 90% silver, like the Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, etc.

If they weigh roughly an oz, and I am trying to find out how much silver are in each, do I just do silver content multiplied by weight?

So pre-1964 quarters are 90% silver, weigh 6.25 grams, so they are 5.63 grams in silver each?

Thanks in advanced. Just trying to learn how to accurately count my silver stack. I have plenty of rounds and bars, but don't know how to accurately count how much silver I have in my coin collection as well.
